Description
Deutsch: Ameisen (Myrmica rubra) melken Blattläuse (Aphis ruborum) auf einem jungen Trieb einer Brombeere (Rubus), Hessen, Deutschland.
English: Ants (Myrmica rubra) cultivating/milking aphids (Aphis ruborum) on Blackberry (Rubus), Hesse, Germany.
Acknowledgement: Many thanks to Hugh Loxdale, Richard Harrington, Mark Taylor and to the user Biopics for their help in assigning the aphid species. According to the two experts Hugh Loxdale and Mark Taylor, the aphid species on the photo is most likely Aphis ruborum.
