Description
Español: Edificación construida en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, fue diseñada por el ingeniero Jesús Muñoz Tébar. En este espacio funcionó la cárcel de Maracaibo. En la fachada se evidencia cierto carácter egipcio y el acceso está enmarcado por dos torres en forma de pirámide truncada, evidenciando un eje simétrico en el cual se ubican seis columnas de estilo ecléctico. Tiene un patio central, en la parte posterior se encuentran unos pequeños salones cerrados con poca ventilación que fueron utilizados como calabozos. Los techos son planos de platabanda, estos servían de azotea para hacer las guardias. Tienes otros salones que funcionaban como oficinas administrativas, enfermería y otros servicios. Maracaibo.Venezuela.
