Description
Русский: Тюремная Елизаветинская церковь на северной границе ансамбля создана по проекту С.К. Родионова на средства Е.С. Ляминой. Архитектура ее представляет своеобразную интерпретацию форм XVII в. и резко контрастирует с официальностью соседних построек. Оригинальна общая живописная композиция здания, состоящая из нескольких соподчиненных объемов с высокими верхами. Центральный из них — бесстолпный четверик храма — перекрыт кирпичным шатром на низком восьмерике с коническими тромпами в основании. Разделенные на прясла фасады завершены развитым антаблементом и ярусом кокошников Высокое расположение оконных проемов обусловило появление мощного, имитирующего подклет цоколя. Сводчатая двухъярусная западная паперть с открытой аркадой наверху покрыта более низким деревянным шатром со "слухами" и луковичной главкой. Детальная разработка декоративных форм памятника качественно уступает его объемному решению. Специфика заказа определила ряд своеобразных черт постройки. Металлические узорные оконные рамы заменяют решетки. В интерьере вдоль стен, на уровне второго яруса помещался балкон для конвоя и хора с входом через паперть.
