Español: Bajorrelieves de la guardia de palacio en las escaleras monumentales de la Apadana en Persépolis, en la actualidad Irán. La Apadana era el edificio más grande de la terraza de Persépolis and posiblemente la sala principal de los monarcas. Los relieves de las escaleras muestran delegaciones de las 23 naciones sumisas al Imperio Persas pagando tributo a Darío I, junto con la guardia que se aprecia en la imagen. Estos relieves son de gran valor porque gracias a su gran detalle se ha conseguido averiguar cómo eran las vestimentas y el equipamiento de diferentes naciones del Imperio Persa durante el siglo V a.d.C.
English: Bas-reliefs of palace guards at the monumental stairs of the Apadana in Persepolis, today Iran. The Apadana was the largest building on the Terrace at Persepolis and was most likely the main hall of the kings. The reliefs of the stairs show delegates of the 23 subject nations of the Persian Empire paying tribute to Darius I along with the here depicted guards. These reliefs are very valuable since the great detail of various of the delegates give insight into the costume and equipment of the various peoples of Persia in the 5th century BC.
Polski: Płaskie reliefy strażników pałacowych na monumentalnych schodach apadany w Persepolis, w dzisiejszym Iranie. Apadana była największym budynkiem w Persepolis i najprawdopodobniej służyła jako sala audiencyjna. Reliefy na schodach przedstawiają delegatów 23 narodów wchodzacych w skład imperium perskiego, którzy wraz ze strażnikami pokazanymi na fotografii składają hołd Dariuszowi I Wielkiemu. Są one bardzo cenne, ponieważ dzięki ich szczegółowości udało się poznać, jak wyglądały stroje i wyposażenie narodów imperium perskiego w V wieku p.n.e.

Deutsch: Reliefs der Paslastgarde an der Monumentaltreppe der Apadana in Persepolis im heutigen Iran. Die Apadana war das größte Gebäude auf der Terrasse in Persepolis und war wahrscheinlich die Haupthalle der Könige. Die Reliefs der Treppe stellen neben den hier abgebildeten Wachen Gesandte der 23 unterworfenen Völker des Achämenidenreichs dar, die Dareios I. Tribute überbringen. Diese Reliefs sind von großem Wert, da die in großer Detailtreue abgebildeten Gesandten einen Einblick in die Trachten und das Aussehen der verschiedenen Völker des Perserreichs im 5. Jahrhundert vor Christus erlauben.
