After the complete disruption of the water from the Hirmand River in Afghanistan, which led to an increase in the severity of the drought in Iran, the people of the area lost their agricultural activities. The farmlands have now become a wasteland. Also, with the drying up of the Hamun wetlands, fishing in the area, which was one of the indigenous businesses in the area, has completely disappeared.
