English: Eharo mask (Elema culture). Papua New Guinea.
The eharo masks were wore during ritual dances, before formal sacred rituals. They were intended to be humorous figures, dancing with groups of women to the amusement of all. Français : Masque eharo (culture Elema). Papouasie-Nouvelle Guinée.
Ces masques étaient vêtus par de jeunes guerriers et perçus comme des figures humoristiques. Ils dansaient avec des groupes de femmes avant des rituels plus solennels, pour l'amusement de la foule rassemblée. Italiano: Maschera eharo - cultura Elema - Papua Nuova Guinea.
Queste maschere erano usate da giovani ragazzi per animare delle danze rituali prima di cerimonie più solenni. Le maschere eharo erano percepite come la rappresentazione di figure sovrannaturali nella forma di maschere umoristiche che danzavano con gruppi di donne per il divertimento di tutta la comunità. Čeština: Rituální maska Eharo indiánů kulktury Elema z Papuy-Nové Guineje ze sbírek muzea Muséum de Toulouse ve Francii.
Tyto masky byly používány během tanců před samotnými svatými rituály, tanečníci představovali především humorné postavy, které tančily hlavně pro pobavení publika.
