Description
This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Drage-Fahrenholz, no. 26969187.

Designation: Lock system
Construction time: around 1880
Description: The needle dam in Fahrenholz is located in the Ilmenau canal and runs across the river axis.

The river level can be regulated by removing or adding square wooden piles (needles).
