English: The Lech dl Mandl pond in Gröden - South Tyrol
Deutsch: Der Lech dl Mandl Naturdenkmal auf der Aschgler Alm in Gröden,Südtirol - Das Naturdenkmal Pra dl Mandl ist vorwiegend von Seggen bewachsen und zwar Schnabelsegge (Carex rostrata), Draht-Segge (Carex diandra) und Braune Segge (Carex nigra). Im östlichen Teil des Niedermoores ist auch eine kleine Wasserfläche vorhanden, an deren Rand Schwingrasenbereiche anzutreffen sind, in denen Torfmoose und Schlammsegge (Carex limosa) vorherrschen. Dieses knapp einen Hektar große Feuchtgebiet mit seinem vielfältigen und für Niedermoore typischen Pflanzenbestand stellt insgesamt einen interessanten und wertvollen Naturlebensraum dar. Feuchtflächen erfüllen allgemein auch eine wichtige hydrologische Funktion, sie speichern Niederschlagswasser und vermindern somit den Oberflächenabfluss.
